All items to be auctioned may be inspected at our premises during our preview. A catalog will be published on the occasion of each auction. Condition reports

Condition reports are available upon request to the individual objects.

 

On request we take more photos of individual objects and send them by e-mail to you. This service takes place only at the beginning of the preview.

 

Saleroom bidding:

In personal appearance at our auctions you receive a bidder number at our reception desk, which entitles you to bid after your registration.

Absentee bids:

Clients who are unable to attend the auction in person are invited to submit written bids. The stated maximum bid will only be exploited until the limit price has been achieved or a bidder at the auction respectively other written quotations are outbid. You will find a form in our catalog or please click here.

Additionally your bid can be placed via our online-catalog.

Telephone bids:

In case of limit price exceeding € 250 you are also welcome to bid by telephone. You will receive a form in our preview or please click here. Furthermore you will receive our form also on telephone request. We call in a timely manner during the auction, so you can bid by telephone at the desired items.

Deadline

Absentee and telephone bids must be submitted 24 hours prior to the commencement of the auction. Otherwise we will not be able to warrant consideration.

 

The objects listed in the catalog will be offered for sale at the limit prices. Auctioning will progress in 10%-steps of the bid price (full hundred, or thousand), up to € 100,00 but at least € 5,00. The auctioneer reserves the right of deviations.

 

A buyers premium of 21% will be added on the bid plus VAT of the premium. It takes standard taxation.

Export

Export deliveries to non-EU countries are exempt from VAT. If persons taking part in an auction take goods they have bought there to non-EU countries themselves, VAT will be reimbursed as soon as E N G E L  FINE ART AUCTIONS has received verification of the export and the buyers identity. Export deliveries within the EU are exempt from VAT with a valid VAT ID Nos..

 

Purchases can be paid in cash in Euro, by EC card or via wired transfer. Foreign banks cheques are not accepted. The purchase price shall become payable upon the fall of the hammer. Purchases shall be retained by E N G E L  FINE ART AUCTIONS until the full purchase price plus any retailed charges have been paid. In case of payment delay we reserve the right of charging interest of the amount of 5% over the general bank interest rate p.a. added to the invoice total until the full purchase price have been paid. As the office may have a great deal of work, receipts and invoices issued during or immediately after an auction should be checked carefully and corrected if necessary; errors expcepted! All taxes, costs and fees for noncash payments (including the bank charges charged to E N G E L  FINE ART AUCTIONS) shall be at the buyer´s expense.  In case of remittance or payment in other currencies, exchange losses and bank expenses will be charged to the purchaser’s account. Invoices will be sent by surface mail and/or by e-mail.

 

Paid objects can be picked up on the day of the auction or during our business hours. However, we ask for understanding that this is possible during the ongoing auction only in exceptional cases. Please use the break or the time after the auction until closing time. Absent buyers are obliged to pick up the items immediately after E N G E L  FINE ART AUCTIONS has adviced them that the bid has been successful. Please note our business hours.

 

On customer request we organize the shipping of the objects. Upon receipt of a written shipment notification, shipment will be made to the best conditions. Please use our dispatch order, attached to the invoices sent by e-mail or surface mail or print it out here again. Without a completed dispatch order there is no shipping. Payment of shipping costs alone is insufficient for the execution of the shipment. On reuqest we organize adequate and insured transport by postal or courier service or shipping all over the world.

 

Auction results

From the first working day after the auction, the results are visible on our website or available by phone +49 (0) 2 61 – 9 14 37 51. On request we will send you the list of results.

 

Starting the first working day after auction, the unsold items may be inspected at our premises and may be purchased at the limit price plus commission (21% plus VAT of currently 19% on the commission).
